Macramé Class with Artist India Cain

Explore endless possibilities for creating in the ancient art form of macramé as you see your own designs become beautiful & decorative objects for your home, for you to wear or to give as gifts. Using simple knotting techniques and basic supplies, you will learn how to design and then create articles such as wall hangings, table runners, flower pot slings, necklaces, belts and bags.
- Course Description: In this 3-hour introductory course students will learn how to make a necklace or small wall hanging using three basic macramé knots:
- The lark’s head
- The half-knot
- The square knot
Course will also include discussion regarding the history of macramé, macramé terminology, tools and supplies. The use of ‘green/recycled/re purposed materials as well as other materials that can be used in projects will also be discussed.
